I have a question regarding extra fish. If I have already registered a fish is it legal according to the tournament rules for me to give another fish I have caught to my son to take in to register? He has a ticket and will also be fishing.

I would like to see a reply to this question. I saw this happening on tournament day and could not get an answer.

This is something that we have not given alot of attention to in the past. We have been allowing this and there seems to be some people abusing the system........... The problem we run into is after a fish is weighed, the contestant gives that fish to another person and we see it getting weighed a half hour later. We are currently working on a way to better mark every fish weighed so it cannot be weighed twice. In our mind weighing twice is cheating and we are perfecting our system...... Watch for more new rules for next year......

I guess I don't have a problem with giving a fish away as long as it is a new fish not one that was already registered. If I don't want it I should be able to give it away to anyone with a ticket. Just my 2 cents
