I had contacted the Antigo Chamber about this and was informed of a tourny being put on by the Pelican Lake chamber or somthing like that. I did not follow it up at that time because I did not believe it was the one I was looking for. If anyone knows anything about that please post If it is anything like that Lions tourny I would like to come.

instead of the prizes amounting to 100,000. cant they drop it to 75000 and give the rest to the lions? id rather see smaller prizes so the lions can make a good profit.its became a tradition for us. iam sure most fisherman would agree

No tourney this year, according to Dave at the Pelican Lake Chamber. He said they did not have enough time to pull it together after the Lions dropped it in October:(

It is true that the Antigo Lions club will not sponsor the tourny anymore. They tried to pass it on to the Pelican Lake's Chamber of Commerce but they tried too late. 4 months time after changing hands is not enough time to plan such a large event.

Maybe if the Pelican Lake Property Owner's Association would band together then they could take over the event for 2011. It only makes sense because they are benefiting the most from this event.

I hope that the Pelican Lake Property Owner's Association will make this tournament possible for 2011. This is too great of a tournament to simply stop now.
